You can get to the conference venue:
Brno Airport – Small local airport
The airport is about 15km far from the city centre. The 30-minute journey can be easily made by taxi or using public transport - bus number 76 from Brno Airport to Brno Main Station (journey time approximately 20 minutes)
Brno has very good interstate and iternational rail connection. You can search for your train online.
From the main train station you get to the conference venue by tram No. 12 in 10 minutes (tram stop “Grohova”).
From big Czech cities, as well as from several European metropolises, connections are provided also by coaches. The main bus companies operating in the Czech Republic are:
From the coach station at Grand Hotel, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is the main train station (“Hlavní nádraží”, 5-minute walking distance), and take the tram No. 12 (tram stop “Grohova”, approx. 10 mins).

If you have chosen to travel by a car, be prepared for regular traffic jams in downtown (rush hours around 9 AM and 4 PM). Parking around the faculty premises is, unfortunately, usually close to impossible. Several parking houses in the walking distance are available, though.

Public transport in Brno
The tram stop for the conference venue is called “Grohova”, tram No. 3 and 12.
The public transport system consists of trams, city buses and trolley buses. Buses operate 24 hours a day.
At night a limited number of night buses is in operation, though. The night buses leave every 30‒60 minutes depending on the line and hour. The main train station (“Hlavní nádraží” stop) is the central junction point for all the night buses.
The intervals during the work days are reasonable for most lines, from 5 to 10 mins. Weekend intervals are 10–30 minutes.

Tickets are sold at ticket vending machines, kiosks and train stations. You can also buy a ticket for a higher price in the bus, just ask the driver.
The ticket price is about CZK 25 for 60 mins.
Taxi in Brno
There is no regulated price for taxi services in the Czech republic, but drivers are required to display their prices, usually on the door.
A reasonable price is CZK 20 per km. A drive from the main railway station to the conference venue should cost approximately CZK 200. To be sure, ask before the ride what the estimated price would be.
